Tree of Life (A6 Postcard)

Story Behind

If you've read 'Our Story', you would know apple trees has a special meaning to me.

The inspiration of this drawing also came from apple tree in Song of Songs 2:3.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods,
So is my beloved among the sons.
I sat down in his shade with great delight,
And his fruit was sweet to my taste.
Song of Solomon 2:3

The rainbow under the tree represents the covenant between man and God – the covenant of peace that God made with Noah after the flood. Whenever we see rainbow, we can be assured that God is with us and no fear in His peace.

The tree symbolizes the tree of life. When we anchor our lives in the origin of life, i.e. Creator God, we will be like a tree that planted besides streams of water that will never wilt and bear fruits all seasons.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
Psalm 1:2-3

May you take rest and stand in His love, and flourish like this tree.
