Monarch Butterfly (A6 Postcard)

Story Behind

This was created in mid-July, 2020, the time when Hong Kong experienced the outbreak of COVID.

In a vision, I saw a beautiful butterfly flying against the current. Everything was within the palm of two big hands, as if the hands were protecting the butterfly while giving room for her to fly with freedom.

I felt the big hands were the hands of God, the water was His Spirit and the butterfly was Hong Kong.

In nature, it is not possible for a butterfly to fly out in heaving rain and will die if it does so. However, the vision received was in contrary which symbolize there would be a supernatural force for Hong Kong to move forward despite the adversity and challenges, and even be promoted to the next higher level.

God will also pour out His Spirit to wash the city to remove all purities and false idols, pumping in new life in the midst of despair.

The butterfly in the vision belonged to a species called, Monarch butterfly. This symbolized Hong Kong belongs to the King of kings, Jesus. The city belongs to God as a chosen royale which He would uplift and protect.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

May we have hope for the future. May we be still with anticipation as God is not done yet! He has not finished writing the whole story!
